Traditional arms length self portrait
I decided that in ending CPE (clinical pastoral education) that during my month off before school starts I would work on one of my favorite fun activities and do a 30 day photography challenge. Today's challenge is to do a self portait. I am already not looking forward to this. I hate getting my picture taken that's why I tend to take the pictures. My posture is horrible in almost every picture I have of me with my friends I have an ess shaped spine or a slight hump back. I am sure that this is because I am so much taller than most of my friends and I want to look cute and demure, but instead I look like quasimoto (at least in my own mind) the only photos I have liked of myself in the past few years are with my husband and certainly weren't by myself (excluding the professional photos on my wedding day). So now, before I do the photo shoot this evening - I am going to do some research and figure out the best way to shoot self portraits, especially for tall people, how to do lighting so that you don't see the two big zits that have shown up in the last 36 hours and maybe what make up will make hazel eyes pop. What a learning experience! Also I have a new hair-do so I hope people will like it. Pictures will be posted before midnight.
